$399 workhorse vs $1,549 dual-nozzle flagship

Which one should I buy?

These serve different buyers. The P1S is the budget enclosed pick. The H2D at $1,549 (typical price $1,749) is Bambu's do-everything flagship: two nozzles, 325 × 320 × 325 mm volume, 350°C hotend, active chamber, and the 10W/40W laser options. Buy the H2D for capability, the P1S for value.

P1S

  • First enclosed printer, best price-to-capability ratio
  • Multicolor via AMS covers your needs (no second nozzle required)
  • You would rather spend the difference on filament and upgrades

H2D

  • You need a second nozzle (soluble supports, dual materials)
  • Large engineering parts and 350°C materials are your daily business
  • The 40W laser option would replace a separate machine

3.9x the price, what do you get?

The H2D is the printer Bambu positions as a full digital workshop: dual-nozzle printing (soluble supports, two materials each with its own nozzle), a much larger build envelope, engineering-material temperatures, and optional laser engraving/cutting up to 40W. The P1S is a 2023 single-nozzle enclosed printer that happens to cost $399.

If you are asking which one to buy as a first serious printer, the honest answer is the P1S plus an AMS plus a year of filament, all for less than half the H2D. The H2D makes sense when dual-material printing, big parts, or the laser module are concrete needs, not aspirations.
