H2S vs H2C
H-series single nozzle vs Vortek, $1,000 apart (H2C as AMS Combo)
Which one should I buy?
Same H-series bones (speed, 350°C, active chamber, size); the H2C adds the Vortek seven-material system for $1,000 over the H2S ($2,199 vs $1,199 street), a gap that includes the H2C's AMS. Buy the H2S for engineering printing, the H2C when multi-material jobs are the job.

The H2C is sold only as an AMS Combo, so its $2,199 includes an AMS. Like-for-like, it costs $800 more than the H2S AMS Combo at $1,399 (typical price $1,499); against the standalone H2S, the $1,000 gap includes the AMS.

- Bambu does not label the axes of these outer dimensions (H2S 492 × 514 × 626 mm, H2C 492 × 514 × 626 mm); read as width × depth × height. Schematic outline; only the outer dimensions are Bambu's figures.

One melt zone or seven
The H2S is the workhorse of the H series: full engineering capability with one nozzle plus AMS 2 Pro. The H2C swaps between six hotends plus one fixed automatically, so multi-material jobs need only a small prime per change instead of a full flush, with no cross-contamination. Volumes are close (340 × 320 × 340 mm vs 305 × 320 × 325 mm on the H2C's right nozzle; the H2C actually gives up some X-width to the tool changer).
If your multi-material need is color, the H2S with AMS does it cheaper. If it is functionally different materials in one part, rigid plus flexible plus soluble, the H2C is the only Bambu built for that.

Laser note
Laser and cutting modules are an H-series-wide option, not H2C-exclusive; the H2S takes the 10W module too.

What changed
Newest first, from this page's version history. Only changes to text you can read here; date refreshes and reshuffled reading links are left out.
- Like-for-like price now compares with the H2S AMS Combo at $1,399 (typical price $1,499): the H2C costs $800 more (was $450 over the H2D AMS Combo).
- Spec table: AMS 2 Pro or AMS HT on both (up to 24 colors on the H2S, 25 on the H2C); Vortek changes now need a small prime each instead of skipping purges entirely.
- Added that the H2C is sold only as an AMS Combo, so the $1,000 gap to the H2S includes an AMS; filtration now listed as G3 pre-filter, H12 HEPA and carbon (was industrial).
Earlier changes
- H2C back at $2,199 after the Fall Sale; the gap to the H2S is $1,000 again.
- H2C at $2,099 in the Fall Sale through Sep 22 (was $2,199), with its list price now $2,199 (was $2,399); the gap to the H2S is $900.
