Bambu Lab H3C: Nine Tools in One Printer, Reveal on November 3
Short version
Bambu Lab has confirmed the H3C, a tool-changer 3D printer it sums up as “nine tools, built into one printer.” The full reveal is on Tuesday, November 3, at 9:00 AM EST (6:00 AM PST, 14:00 UTC). Price, build volume, shipping date and how the nine tools swap are not announced yet.

What Bambu has confirmed
Bambu's H3C teaser page on bambulab.com carries the tagline “Tool Changer. Game Changer.” and the date “November 3, 9:00 AM EST”. The page describes the H3C as “a next-generation tool changer 3D printer that makes multi-material printing faster, more reliable, and effortless.” On October 23 at 9:00 AM ET, Bambu's official account posted the teaser on r/BambuLab under the title “Nine tools in one printer.” with one more line: “A new tech to swap.”
The teaser video shows nine tools side by side in a rack, each with its own filament tube coming in from above. Bambu has published no specs and no price. The name continues the H line after the H2D, H2S and H2C.
When the reveal happens
Bambu gives the time as 9:00 AM EST on Tuesday, November 3. US clocks fall back on November 1, so that is standard time, not daylight time. The same moment elsewhere:
| Where | Local time |
|---|---|
| New York (EST) | Nov 3, 9:00 AM |
| Chicago (CST) | Nov 3, 8:00 AM |
| Los Angeles (PST) | Nov 3, 6:00 AM |
| London (GMT) | Nov 3, 2:00 PM |
| Berlin (CET) | Nov 3, 3:00 PM |
| Shenzhen (China time) | Nov 3, 10:00 PM |
| Sydney (AEDT) | Nov 4, 1:00 AM |
Bambu has not said whether orders open at the reveal. We will update this page on November 3.
What the FCC filing adds
The H3C has been on file since September. The FCC certified it on September 11 under FCC ID 2A6J8-PF008P, for Shenzhen Tuozhu Technology, the manufacturer named on Bambu's product labels. The test reports list 2.4 and 5 GHz Wi-Fi including 802.11ax, sold as Wi-Fi 6, and the label carries an 8 A rating, like the H2C's. The manual and photos stay confidential until March 10, 2027 at the latest, so the specs will most likely come from Bambu first.
The same batch of filings named a P3C printer, an X2D Pro and two material units, AMS 3H and AMS 3P, that Bambu still has not announced. The full list is in our FCC filings article.
H3C next to the H2C
The H2C is Bambu's current multi-material flagship and the obvious comparison. Here is what each has on paper today:
| What we know | H2C | H3C |
|---|---|---|
| What swaps | Hotends, from the Vortek rack | “Tools”, details on November 3 |
| Positions | 6 swappable hotends plus 1 fixed, up to 7 melt zones per job | 9 tools |
| Build volume | 305 × 320 × 325 mm (right nozzle) | Not announced |
| Price, Bambu US store | $2,199 AMS Combo | Not announced |
| FCC label rating | 8 A | 8 A |
| Status | Announced November 2025, shipping | Reveal on November 3, 2026 |
Tool changer or hotend changer?
The H2C already swaps parts, but only hotends: its Vortek rack parks six induction-heated hotends next to one fixed hotend, and the extruder stays on the toolhead.
In September we looked at a Bambu patent, CN 122560413 A, that shows a rack of nine hotends. In its drawings the extruder stays on the moving toolhead and only the hotend is parked, so we called it a hotend changer, not a toolchanger: the H2C's principle with more bays. Bambu now sells the H3C as a “tool changer” with nine tools. The count matches the patent, but Bambu has not tied the two together, and the teaser does not show whether each tool carries its own extruder.

The difference matters. A true toolchanger parks the whole toolhead, so a switch is a docking move, and every tool needs its own extruder and motor. A hotend changer keeps one extruder and re-threads filament into a different melt zone on every swap, which is simpler and cheaper to build. Bambu's line “a new tech to swap” leaves both open until November 3.
What is still unknown
- Price, and whether there is an AMS Combo.
- Build volume, speed and temperatures.
- Whether the nine tools are full toolheads or hotends.
- How filament reaches nine tools, and which AMS units work with it.
- Shipping date and regions.
- Whether anything changes for the H2C.
Caution
Bambu has confirmed the name, nine tools and the reveal date, nothing more. Build volumes, prices and renders you see before November 3 are guesses, not Bambu's numbers.
Should you wait?
- Shopping for an H2C. Wait until November 3. You will know what nine tools cost before you spend $2,199 on seven melt zones.
- Already own an H2C. Bambu has said nothing about the H2C itself. We will add it here if that changes.
- Printing one material at a time. Bambu pitches the H3C at multi-material printing, so nothing here changes your shortlist.
