A1 vs H2D
The value pick vs the flagship, $1,250 apart
Which one should I buy?
The A1 at $299 is where most people should start; the H2D at $1,549 (typical price $1,749) is where power users end up: dual nozzles, 350°C, active chamber, laser options. Comparing them is really asking how much printer you need, and it is usually less than you think.

- Bambu does not label the axes of these outer dimensions (A1 465 × 410 × 430 mm, H2D 492 × 514 × 626 mm); read as width × depth × height. Schematic outline; only the outer dimensions are Bambu's figures. While printing, the bed moves front to back and can stick out beyond this outline; Bambu gives no figure for it.

The A1 handles the overwhelming majority of home printing: PLA/PETG, multicolor via AMS lite, 256 mm parts, at the lowest serious price in the market. The H2D is Bambu's flagship for dual-material engineering work with a build volume of 325 × 320 × 325 mm and optional 10W/40W laser.
The instructive gap: five A1s cost less than one H2D. Unless dual extrusion, engineering materials or the laser are concrete needs, the A1 answer wins on every practical metric.
