X2D vs H2D
New 256 mm tech vs the full-size flagship
Which one should I buy?
The X2D at $649 brings flagship ideas (active chamber, second nozzle) into the 256 mm class; the H2D at $1,549 (typical price $1,749) is the full-size dual-nozzle machine: left and right nozzles instead of main plus auxiliary, 350°C, 325 × 320 × 325 mm. The X2D is the smart buy; the H2D the complete one.

Auxiliary vs left/right, 65°C vs 65°C
Both have actively heated 65°C chambers, which used to be the flagship differentiator. Both also switch between two nozzles, but they are built differently: the X2D pairs its main nozzle with an auxiliary nozzle that Bambu pitches for supports (for Silk PLA and some CF grades it recommends the main hotend for best quality); the H2D has a left and a right nozzle for two-material parts. Add 350°C vs 300°C and the larger 325 × 320 × 325 mm build volume, and the H2D's premium is explained.
For 256 mm parts in demanding materials, the X2D at 42% of the price is the engineering bargain of the 2026 lineup. The H2D earns its price with size and its left/right nozzle pair.

What changed
Newest first, from this page's version history. Only changes to text you can read here; date refreshes and reshuffled reading links are left out.
- Price note now names the H2D's earlier typical price: it moved from $1,899 to $1,749 in July; H2D $1,549 and X2D $649, checked Oct 3.
- Corrected: the H2D has no Lidar (spec table said Yes), so Lidar no longer counts toward its premium; AMS support now AMS 2 Pro / AMS HT with up to 25 colors on both.
- Nozzle comparison corrected: the H2D switches between a left and a right nozzle rather than truly independent dual extrusion, while the X2D pairs its main nozzle with an auxiliary one for supports.
Earlier changes
- Corrected: X2D HEPA filter listed again (removed by mistake on Jul 31); both printers now list a G3 pre-filter, H12 HEPA and carbon.
- Spec table: H2D build volume 325 × 320 × 325 mm (was 350 × 320 × 325 mm) and X2D max speed 1000 mm/s (was 500 mm/s).
- X2D filter spec changed to activated carbon, no HEPA (was listed as HEPA plus carbon).
