Weekly Tasks

Wash with warm water and dish soap whenever adhesion drops or fingerprints show, and at least weekly; a 90%+ IPA wipe between washes is fine but does not replace the wash.
Check for buildup, damage, or wear. Clean exterior with brass brush while nozzle is at 200°C. Never use steel brushes.
Clear purge material from the waste chute before it overflows into the print area.
Remove loose filament strands and dust from the print area. Debris in the motion system causes failures.
Inspect AMS PTFE tubes for kinks, cuts, or debris. Replace damaged tubes: they're cheap.
Look for filament dust on the extruder gear and blow or brush it clean when you see any; dust in the gears causes gradual under-extrusion. Bambu checks weekly on the X1; on the A1 / A1 mini it cleans the gear every 5 spools, every 2 with carbon fiber filaments.
Look at the fan blades and the area around them and clear debris or dust that has built up. Bambu suggests this check weekly for the X1, P1 and A1 series.
The wiper cleans the nozzle before leveling. On the X1 and P1 Bambu wants it free of filament debris, its PTFE side undamaged and lying flat before every print. Replace it once it is damaged or deformed (same rule on the A1 and X2D), or the nozzle tip stays dirty.

Monthly Tasks

X1C / P1S (carbon rods): wipe with IPA on a microfiber cloth, never oil or grease, and do not clean more often than needed (it removes the self-lubricating film); Bambu suggests a clean after every 5 kg of ABS/ASA or when ribbing appears. P2S / X2D (X linear shafts) and H2 series (X linear rail): clean, then apply a thin film of lubricating oil.
Check monthly. X1C / P1S: every three months clean the Z lead screws and apply a thin coat of grease, and give the Y and Z steel rods a thin film of oil against rust. P2S / X2D: grease the Z lead screws and oil the rods every 3 to 5 months depending on use; H2D: clean the Y and Z rods and the Z lead screws, then oil the rods and grease the lead screws, every month (every two weeks if you often print high-temperature or engineering filaments); H2S and H2C: every three months (H2C: monthly during long high-temperature or engineering print runs). The H2D, H2S and H2C also remind you when cleaning is due (H2D and H2C from firmware 01.01.00.00). Run Z up and down to distribute. Never put oil or grease on the X1/P1 carbon rods.
Monthly: clean the X linear rail and the Y guide rails (A1 mini also the Z rail) with tweezers and a lint-free cloth, re-lubricate them with lubricant oil and move the axis to spread it. Never put grease on the X rail. Every three months: grease the Z lead screws (A1: two, A1 mini: one) and run Z up and down.
Power off, loosen the four belt-tensioner screws 1–2 turns (do not remove them), move the toolhead back and forth a few times, then retighten without over-torquing and re-run the vibration calibration.
Reseat toolhead cable and any connectors that move. Vibration slowly loosens connections over months.
After maintenance, run the full calibration from the printer screen (X1: Settings → Print Calibration; P1: Settings → Calibration; A1: Settings → Maintenance → Calibration; H2/P2S/X2D: Settings → Calibration → Print Calibration).

Hour-Based Maintenance

Bambu gives no hour figure. Replace the hotend when the tip is worn or damaged or extrusion stays inconsistent after cleaning and calibration. Stainless steel nozzles wear quickly with abrasive filaments; Bambu requires hardened steel for CF, GF and particle-filled filaments and says nozzle and extruder gears then need more frequent maintenance.
Bambu ties belt tension to the printer's own check: the calibration flags a loose belt (A1 / A1 mini: HMS prompt), then re-tension as in the belt guide. Replace a belt when it shows obvious wear that affects print quality.
Bambu sets no interval for opening the AMS. Its AMS maintenance page lists the wear parts to check: replace the feeding funnel when it is badly worn and causes feeding or retraction errors, replace the active support shaft assembly when it is damaged (reseat it when it is loose), and replace the desiccant (see Bambu's desiccant guide).
AMS PTFE tubes wear from friction during loading and unloading. Bambu: replace them every 2 months, and monthly or whenever wear is visible with abrasive filaments such as carbon fiber or glow-in-the-dark; the printer prompts a check every 2 months. Use the size from Bambu's PTFE tube table: 2.0 mm ID / 4 mm OD for the tubes inside the AMS, AMS 2 Pro and AMS HT and for all tubes on the X1/P1 series; 2.5 mm ID / 4 mm OD from the AMS to the A1, A1 mini, A2L, P2S, X2D and H2 series.
X1 / P1: Bambu greases the Y/Z bearings at the factory. If a bearing makes abnormal ball noise, apply a little grease and slide it back and forth several times; Bambu notes the noise does not affect print quality in theory.
A dull blade does not cut the filament completely, which shows up as failed AMS unloads. Check intervals by Bambu: X1 / P1 every 3–5 spools of PLA, PETG, ABS or PC and after 1–2 spools of PA-CF or PA-GF; A1 / A1 mini every 3 spools of PLA, ABS or PETG; P2S every 8–12 spools (4–10 with abrasive filaments such as PA-CF or PPA-CF); X2D every 8–12 spools (6–10 abrasive). Replace the blade when it is dull.
On the X1 series Bambu recommends a new filter every three months if the printer runs about 8 hours a day, and every month for a production machine. On the X2D: replace it as soon as it is heavily contaminated.
Particles from printing settle on the lens and blur the live view. P2S and X2D: clean it every six months, more often when you print ABS (X2D). X1 / P1: clean it when the picture looks blurred or dirty, and weekly when you print ABS.
Bambu sets no monthly interval: clean it when the printer reports a Lidar error or the laser looks abnormal, and every 3–5 days if you print ABS regularly, because ABS particles build up on the lens (Bambu). Gently wipe with a microfiber cloth and a little IPA (a cotton swab helps). Dust on the Lidar causes calibration failures.

P2S and X2D: how often by daily print time

For the P2S and X2D, Bambu ties the axis maintenance to how much you print, not to a fixed calendar:

Average print time per dayX/Y axes: clean and oilZ axis: deep maintenance
5 hours or moreEvery monthEvery 3 months
1 to 5 hoursEvery 2 monthsEvery 4 months
Under 1 hourEvery 3 monthsEvery 5 months

How Bambu does it: wipe the X and Y linear shafts with IPA on a non-woven cloth, then apply oil drop by drop (1–2 drops per 5 cm, upper and lower X shafts) and move the toolhead slowly 3–5 times along each axis so the graphite bearings take it up; moving fast pushes the oil onto the frame. For Z, clean the three lead screws and the shafts, grease the lead screws, oil the left and right shafts and run the bed from bottom to top 3–5 times. Wipe off excess oil, then run the full calibration (motor noise cancellation, vibration compensation, auto bed leveling).

X1 and P1 series: Bambu's intervals are fixed instead. Check the carbon rods and the Y/Z rods monthly, clean them every 5 spools of ABS or ASA, and grease the Z lead screws and give the Y/Z rods their anti-rust treatment every three months.
